COHEN & ASSOCIATES IS THE LEADING PROVIDER OF ACCELERATED TMS, AND THE ONLY PRACTICE IN THE REGION PROVIDING NEURONAVIGATED, PRECISION-BASED CARE
TMS is a safe, proven treatment for major depression, anxious depression, OCD, and adolescent depression. It works by gently stimulating underactive areas of the brain using magnetic pulses similar to those in an MRI. This can help rewire neural pathways and encourage your brain to form healthier connections, resulting in significant symptom relief.

Traditional treatments such as antidepressants can leave many feeling unfulfilled, frustrated, and in some cases, dealing with unpleasant side effects.
At Cohen & Associates, we offer precision TMS, a non-invasive and drug-free therapy that is FDA-cleared for individuals struggling with depression, anxious depression, OCD, and adolescent depression. This innovative treatment stimulates targeted brain regions for a profound therapeutic effect, helping restore well-being safely and effectively.

TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) is a safe and highly effective treatment for patients with major depression, anxious depression, OCD, and adolescent depression who aren’t satisfied with the results of conventional psychiatry and pharmacology.
TMS is designed to precisely stimulate neuroplasticity and help the brain form new healthy connections. Patients with MDD, OCD, and other mental health issues typically experience depressed activity in certain areas of their brains. TMS therapy aims to safely stimulate these areas to improve activity with the use of electromagnetic waves similar to an MRI.
Many patients experience significant benefits from TMS. Two in three patients reported a remission of their depression at the end of TMS therapy. Significant cost savings may also be expected with TMS compared to conventional drug treatments. TMS is much less invasive than deep brain stimulation, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and other alternative treatment options for depression. There are continuous independent studies proving that TMS treatment can relieve not only the symptoms of depression, but also other common disorders, such as anxiety, post-traumatic stress, tinnitus, schizophrenia, autism, and addictions.
Currently, the only FDA-approved use is for recurrent major depression, anxious depression, OCD, and adolescent depression. TMS has given thousands of people new hope every day.
Adult Indications for Use
TMS Therapy is indicated for the treatment of depressive episodes and for decreasing anxiety symptoms for those who may exhibit comorbid anxiety symptoms in adult patients suffering from Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and who failed to achieve satisfactory improvement from previous antidepressant medication treatment in the current episode.
TMS Therapyis intended to be used as an adjunct for the treatment of adult patients suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Adolescent Indications for Use
TMS Therapy is indicated as an adjunct for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in adolescent patients (15-21).
TMS Therapy is only available by prescription. A doctor can help decide if TMS Therapy is right for you. Patients’ results may vary.
Important Safety Information
The most common side effect is pain or discomfort at or near the treatment site. These events are transient; they occur during the TMS treatment course and do not occur for most patients after the first week of treatment. There is a rare risk of seizure associated with the use of TMS therapy (<0.1% per patient).
TMS Therapy should not be used with patients who have non-removable conductive metal in or near the head. TMS Therapy has not been studied in patients who have not received prior antidepressant treatment.
